Materials suspected to be from the sunken MSC Elsa 3 ship have washed up on the shore. The State Disaster Management Authority has alerted the public to remain on high alert as these materials may contain hazardous chemicals such as Calcium Carbide.
Do not touch or approach the materials washed ashore under any circumstances. If you come across such materials, immediately call 112 and notify the authorities.
Maintain a distance of at least 200 meters from the materials. Avoid gathering in potentially dangerous areas. Do not obstruct the operations of the authorities during the removal process. Keep a safe distance and strictly follow all instructions.
