Poshakasamridham Prabhatham: A Breakfast Initiative Reaching 22,791 Students

The 'Poshakasamridham Prabhatham' initiative has provided breakfast to 22,791 children in schools across the Kalamassery constituency over the past three years. Kalamassery is the first assembly constituency in Kerala to launch a special scheme dedicated to providing nutritious breakfast to school children.Designed for primary and upper primary students, the project has been implemented in 39 government-aided schools throughout the Kalamassery constituency. It was developed in collaboration with BPCL Kochi Refinery. A nutritious breakfast is essential for the mental and intellectual development of children. Therefore, the universal breakfast program aims to support students who come to school without having had breakfast at home due to various reasons.
