Kasaragod Kudumbashree has launched 'Kutti Chantha' to promote children's markets and help them understand the value of work during their educational journey while introducing them to small business ideas.

Members of the Bala Sabha will host these small markets once a month during school holidays in all 42 CDSs of the district. The markets will feature products made by children and their parents from BUDS institutions, in collaboration with local self-government bodies, as well as items from Kudumbashree agriculture and small enterprises.

In addition to fostering saving habits and imparting livelihood skills, 'Kutti Chantha' provides opportunities for social interaction among children. Kudumbashree Micro Enterprise Consultants, Agriculture, and Social Development Community Resource Persons will assist in delivering products to the Kutti Markets under the guidance of the respective CDS. Proceeds from the markets will be deposited into the CDS account to support children's academic and extracurricular activities.
