Aptitude-Based Learning: 16 vocational skill centres established in Malappuram


വിജ്ഞാന സമൂഹത്തിലേക്കുള്ള ശാക്തീകരണപാതയിൽ ഉന്നത വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ രംഗം

Skill Development Centers are being established in 16 schools across Malappuram district to equip students with employable knowledge and skills based on their aptitude. This initiative is part of the STARS scheme under Samagra Shiksha Kerala. The project includes 15 higher secondary schools and two vocational higher secondary schools in the district. The first skill development centre was launched as a pilot at Arimbra GVHSS, with 16 additional centres to follow. Each centre will offer two job roles from different sectors, with batches of 25 students per role. A budget of Rs. 21.5 lakhs has been allocated to each centre under the Samagra Shiksha Kerala STARS scheme. Students from HSS/VHSE, out-of-school children, tribal students, SCOLE-Kerala enrollees, differently-abled students, graduates, and those who have completed higher secondary education are eligible to apply for these vocational skill centres. The program will be implemented at the following schools: Mankada GVHSS, Pullaanoor GVHSS, Vengara GVHSS, Chettiyaamkinar GVHSS, BP Angadi Girls GVHSS, Purathoor GHSS, Paravanna GVHSS, Kalpakancherry GVHSS, Thavanoor KMPBG VHSS, Mancherry GGVHSS & THS, Perinthalmanna GVHSS, Nilambur GVHSS, Vandoor Girls GVHSS, Keezhuparamba GVHSS, Thirurangadi GHSS, and Thrikkavu GHSS.
