Student-Friendly Private Bus Service Launches in Alappuzha

Student-friendly private bus service to provide a comfortable journey for the students has started in Alappuzha. This initiative, a collaboration between the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and the Motor Vehicle Department, marks the first of its kind in the state.The program was organized under the NALSA Scheme 2015 under the joint guidance of District Legal Services Authority and Department of Motor Vehicles. In the initial phase, the stickers will be placed on city buses. These stickers signify that the buses will offer student-friendly services, including concessions for student passengers from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Over the next year, the service will be closely monitored to ensure adherence to its guidelines. Buses that excel in providing a student-friendly experience will be honored with awards on Republic Day.Under the district administration, a series of activities aimed at promoting children's mental and physical well-being are being organized. In addition to these recreational programs, the district administration also prioritizing student safety through the student-friendly private bus service.
